There are 2 Y2 classes. In Y2 children continue with the National Curriculum they started in Y1 and they cover all the same subjects. Most of their learning takes place in bright modern classrooms with up to date technology. They have access to attractive areas outdoors for play and P.E.

In Y2 your child will be given homework. This will include learning spellings, doing regular reading and practising maths. Children are assessed regularly and at the end of the year you will be advised of what National Curriculum level they have achieved.

During Y2 children who need extra help with reading will be considered for one of our special groups. We have a well qualified Reading Recovery teacher and a team of Teaching Assistants.
